People of Faith members made their voices heard in opposition of discriminatory legislation during the 2006 General Assembly session. 

January 25, 2006 Rev. Robin H Gorsline, co-convener of POFEV, delivered a speech at the Press Conference during Equality Virginia's Lobby Day in the General Assembly Building.

January 17, 2006 Rev. Robin H Gorsline, co-convener of POFEV, delivered a speech to the Senate Privelages and Elections Committee asking them to oppose the Virginia Marriage Amendment.


"We recognize that family, like faith, comes in many different shapes. This amendment does nothing to support family life; instead it singles out particular families—and not just gay and lesbian families, but families of people who choose not be married—and explicitly denies them any hope for support and nurture by our government. January 13, 2006 Rev. Warren Hammonds delivers a speech to the Virginia House of Delegates Priveleges and Elections Committee to oppose the Virginia Marriage Amendment.

January 13, 2006 Delegate David English (D-45th District) delivers a speech to the Virginia House of Delegates asking the House to oppose the Virginia Marriage Amendment.
