 Stonewall 40 Resources Minimize

Part of POFEV's mission is to offer interfaith resources to Virginians who are at work in the on-going struggle for LGBT rights.  In honor of the fortieth anniversary of Stonewall, we have put together some devotional materials.  We hope you will use these prayers, poems, and meditations as part of your private or public owrship in the upcoming week.

Stonewall Fortieth Anniversary Materials

Below you can find some of the devotionals that POFEV created during the 2009 General Assembly as well as some materials from past prayer vigils.

 Join Us in Prayer Minimize

Prayer can help shape our community and the world at large. This is why we host prayer vigils as a witness to our communities.  Some of these vigils take place during the General Assembly Sessions; others are in response to tragedy, such as the Vigil in Memory of Lawrence King.

Even if you cannot attend a People of Faith vigil, you can join with us in prayer as we pray for equality for the LGBT community.  We hope the prayers that follow will be a source of inspiration and hope for you and your community.

“Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul….

It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.”
